The American Family Insurance Championship, hosted by Steve Stricker, introduced an exciting new team format to the PGA TOUR Champions schedule. This fresh approach brought a dynamic twist to the competition, culminating in a commanding four-stroke victory by European Ryder Cup legends Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn. The win marked Clarke’s fifth and Bjorn’s first PGA TOUR Champions title.
In recognition of their achievement, the duo each received a stunning American Family Insurance Championship Trophy—an elegant piece of craftsmanship designed and handcrafted by Malcolm DeMille. The trophy features two vertical crystal blocks etched with the inspiring phrase “Dream Achieved,” suspended among sculpted clouds. This design reflects American Family Insurance’s core belief in the power of dreams and the perseverance required to achieve them.
