Ascension Charity Classic

September 8, 2024

Congratulations to Y.E. Yang on earning his first PGA TOUR Champions win at the Ascension Charity Classic. Yang used every tool in his kit to MacGyver his way into a playoff against Bernhard Langer, where he pulled off a 14-footer birdie to earn the win and the coveted Ascension Charity Classic trophy handcrafted by sculptor and jeweler Malcolm DeMille.

The striking Malcolm DeMille crafted trophy sculpturally brings the Ascension Charity Classic tournament logo to life with the St. Louis Gateway Arch and Mississippi River, seen in silver tones, surrounding a colorful tournament logo “floating” front and center.

Ascension Charity Classic

November 5, 2020

The Ascension Charity Classic presented by Emerson, an official PGA TOUR Champions event, is set to kick off in September 2021. The 54-hole stroke play tournament will feature PGA TOUR Champions professionals facing off at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis Missouri, and will benefit several charitable organizations. The Champion of the Ascension Charity Classic will receive a handcrafted Malcolm DeMille trophy.

Malcolm DeMille, Ascension and HNS Sports Group teamed up to create a trophy that sculpturally brings the tournament logo to life. The silver toned trophy incorporates the Gateway Arch and Mississippi River, reflective of the event’s host city, with the clear acrylic posts holding an epoxy filled Ascension logo in the center of the piece. The sculpture is set atop a satin black wood base and will make its debut at next year’s inaugural tournament in September.
