JM Eagle LA Championship
Initially known as the LA Open, the inaugural event was held in 2018 at Wilshire Country Club. Then in 2023, the event was renamed the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. Malcolm DeMille was commissioned to create a trophy cup for the event, and was asked to enhance the trophy with details that reflect the tournament sponsor. The finished trophy stands at 24.5” tall, features a stunning contrast of heavy texture and a high-polished finish, and is crowned by an eagle perched atop of a golf ball with its wings spread. The eagle motif continues to the handles which are subtly feathered. The face of the cup uses a fully cast design on the front allowing the logo to catch the eye with ease.
