Sanderson Farms Championship
The Sanderson Farms Championship has a rich history. Beginning as the Magnolia Classic in 1968, it then changed to Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic in 1986, Southern Farm Bureau Classic in 1999, Viking Classic in 2007,and True South Classic in 2012, before becoming the Sanderson Farms Championship in 2013. In 2014, Sanderson Farms Championship asked the team at Malcolm DeMille to create a unique perpetual and winner's take home trophy that encompassed the event name. Thus, the spirited rooster trophy name “Reveille” was born. The hand sculpted trophy is cast in bronze with fired colorful patinas to create its realistic appearance.
